Sales Engineer

We are looking for an extremely strong and experienced Sales Engineer to provide business domain and technical expertise in sales cycles, perform product demonstrations, and help close deals. Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Use deep supply chain domain expertise to play the role of the functional and technical expert in sales cycles
  • Design, develop, and deliver sales presentations to clients
  • Qualify leads by leading the discovery sessions
  • Clearly articulate the product capabilities to clients and perform product demonstrations
  • Configure product demonstrations to address the business needs of clients
  • Lead design and delivery of Proof-of-Concept projects for clients
  • Identify functional gaps in product and work with product team to resolve them
  • Improve negotiations and contract closing by providing support to the sales team
  • Provide support in development of client proposals
  • Prepare responses to technical/functional questionnaires and RFPs
  • Assist in contract and SOW drafting
  • Partner with sales team to generate leads
  • Document and communicate feedback from the field to the product team
  • Accompany sales representatives during the entire sales process from qualification to contract closing and project start
  • Interact with every area of the organization including Marketing, Consulting, Product Development, Legal, Finance and C-level executives
  • Assist in account management activities

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of supply chain domain is essential
  • Technical proficiency required to configure and perform product demonstrations is essential
  • Ability to create innovative solutions to solve client problems
  • Ability to comprehend technical documents and specifications
  • Ability to create high impact presentations and documents
  • Effective interpersonal communication
  • Strong project management skills
  • Capability to work independently and take full responsibility for client engagements
  • Results oriented individual with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • Technical background (a degree in Engineering) preferred
